Vector Basics at the University of Akron
ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR CS4
Adobe Illustrator software defines the future of vector graphics with groundbreaking creative options and powerful tools for efficiently publishing artwork on the Web and in print. You will learn the design tools, create simple illustrations, work with scanned images, draw and modify objects, paint with the brush tool, work with text and advanced type features, transform objects, use the pathfinder, manage colors, create masks, work with layers, use the mesh and 3D tools, and automate tasks. Class projects include creating a paper robot, a CD cover, web icons, photo-realistic art, a map, and a corporate identity. This is a hands-on class. A-P4A – Photoshop4Artist Workshop

Instructor: Li Hertzi
Own Photoshop software but want to get more out of it? (Or haven’t learned to use it at all?) Then this workshop is for you! Artists (and all other creative folks) with beginning and intermediate Photoshop skills are encouraged to enroll. In each class, students will “learn by doing” experiment with drawing and painting techniques, and create their own finished Photoshop creations, in a stress-free environment, with personalized instruction and visual directions. All students must bring a laptop to class, with Photoshop or Photoshop Elements installed. Cost: $45 (Cost for Members: $36)
