I will be teaching at the Canton Museum of Art – my home away from home as a child and the place I learned to love a printing press (my dad did all the printing when I was growing up on the little press in the basement – then, when they moved from the Case Mansion to the Cultural Center, he did it in the “back”, that smell, ahhh, happiness… yes) and appreciate good coffee, fresh clay, and playing hide and seek in the permanent collection.? It was a great place to grow up… I still call it the Canton Art Institute, Museum of Art sounds… more refined, but… just… not right.? Perhaps I will grow into it…

Two 2-hour hands-on workshop at our studio in North Canton. Ohio.

First Session:
The Big Ten (Li?s questions to ask yourself before creating a great design.)
Sketching out your card
Setting up a template
Importing artwork/sizing etc
Basic selection skills
Basic color correction
Layering

Handout explaining the process so you can do it again (and again and again) and our ?Design Idea? sheet.  You will also recieve a disk full of graphic goodies to enhance your Photoshoping Play!

Second Session:
Working with type
Preparing your card to send to the printer for a trouble free production
Review and Question/Answer
Prepress Checklist and How-to handout

Cards will be sent to the printer and you can pick them up the week after the class.
*You must have a laptop with Photoshop or Elements loaded for this class.  We do not supply computers or programs but will be happy to advise you on getting both!
